Itinerary:
Let's go and enjoy the Upper Kananaskis area with its beautiful lakes & mountains. This trail is a 16.5km loop with a negligible height gain of 60m. There are many "undulations" on the trail so it provides a fairly good workout.

We will be hiking at an average pace with breaks for photographers whenever we see something interesting.

"A revelation of beauty hardly equalled anywhere... has four large islands and several small islets, all densely wooded, which give an endless variety of views from various points", said Walter Wilcox in 1901. More information in Gillean Dafferin's "Kananaskis Country trail guide". Hike 97 on page 213. <
