Itinerary:
The exact route of the trip will be decided a few days before the event depending on trail conditions. We'll ski in the PLPP area and go for 10-15 km or 2-3 hours. We'll start by meeting at the Pocaterra Hut.

This trip is for beginner/intermediate skiers. The pace will be relaxed and moderate but without a lot of breaks. Please make sure you have some cross-country skiing experience and can handle hills prior to signing up!

Distance : approx 10-15 kms. We will stay on easy to intermediate trails. The route may change depending on trail conditions.

Required Items to Bring:
- All cross-country equipment and wax kit.
- Lunch, snacks, water
- Extra layers of clothing
- Day pack

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take Highway 1 west from Calgary, then Highway 40 south all the way to the winter gate. Turn right at the winter gate onto Kananaskis Lakes Trail. Not far up the road, on the left, you will see the Pocaterra area. Meet inside the hut.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $90.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Friday, April 19, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.
