Although this hike has been done a zillion times by alot of us, at this time of the year, it's a great early season conditioner that is close to town. The route for this hike is well traveled & the climb is steep, though this is well worth the effort. The view from a tongue of land at the top is spectacular; Calgary to the east, Moose Mountain to the north and Banded Peak and range to the west.

The trail this past week on certain parts was very slippery in places, so it's probably a good idea to bring your icers and hiking poles.Speed Demons pls note-the maximum pace will be Slow
(I haven't been hiking alot lately)

If you have never hiked before please note that you gain ALOT of elevation within a short distance so it is recommended that you probably start the season off with a hike with LESS elevation and build up from there.
